I'm broke! In just about every way. In in NC with my mom as she goes thru some tough times. I'm not even sure if I'll make it back to NYC.
Toughest thing I ever did in my life was hold my grandfather's hand as he cried "why not me" after my grandmother's funeral.
Now I'm having to prepare emergency contacts and be the deciding family member as my mom has major surgery.
