 Actor Danny Glover was arrested Tuesday during a protest at the headquarters of the Supreme Court in Washington, for the imprisonment of writer and activist Mumia Abu Jamal, whose death sentence was commuted to life imprisonment.

 The information was given by William Camacaro, a member of Alberto Lovera Bolivarian Circle in New York, noting that African American activists and movements demanding the release of the actor. 

Camacaro said so far unaccounted for Danny Glover, and other activists who were arrested during the protest.

 Camacaro reported that held demonstrations in several U.S. cities. He added that take advantage of the platafroma Tuesday 1 May to denounce police brutality and the unjust imprisonment of the black community in America. EFM

A workshop on military spending, what are war taxes – including income and excise taxes - how to resist, and consequences. If you are trying to figure out how to refuse to pay taxes that fund U.S. wars and militarism, this introductory workshop will explain the techniques of war tax resistance, consequences of saying no, and historical examples of people who have been successful war tax resisters. Tax day is April 17 so the timing with the bookfair is perfect.
